A friend asked me, don't you feel obligated to entertain, now that you've started blogging? Isn't it a burden?
Well, now that you mention it...
But...
It's like this, at my house, if you drop by you can bet that I'll fix you something yummy. I'll do my best to make you feel at home. When, and if you decide to blog, it's pretty much the same story. Now, I am totally amazed how most of the bloggers I read manage to keep up the daily grind with such finesse, truly I just can't imagine how they do it. Life gets in my way, and then there's my writing, which sucks up most of my energy. I'm afraid that leaves me with very few gems to sprinkle around here, hence the name Lizzy's Bits and Bytes.
The stories I post here are but little nuggets. They are meant to be teasers for THE REAL THING. The book, which is coming soon, I promise.

Good lord, that dish looks good!
I'd like to visit if you'll serve that! :D
Love the bits and pieces, the teasers you call. Can't wait for the banquet.
Now, you do need to share how you got yourself a publisher.
I do know what you are talking about. Sometimes blogging is another thing on my list of 'to do's' and some days I have nothing. Looking forward to the book.
What? There's someone out there keeping up?
I thought that was an urban myth.
You "got" that right, Elizabeth! Just relax and go at your own pace. After moving, you deserve it!!!
Well put.
I feel like a joyous, daily, tightrope walker with lots of bloggee friends cheering me on; and they forgive when I fall short....What a great community!
I love the daily sharing and feedback.
Aloha!

I've told you that I can't wait, right? :)
This dish is so luscious !! Great..Unseen Rajasthan
Yes, like you, I've been blogging less often. I noticed others have too. My revisions are suffering right now. When is your book coming out? How far are you into it, publication-/agent-wise?
Elizabeth, I seriously need some advice in this department! I started blogging to get my foot in the door somewhere, and while that may (?) happen someday, I find that all this blogging I'm doing is taking time away from that book I was writing! I DO feel like I must entertain my "people" now!!! Any advice from a real author is appreciated...:)
This move has really thrown a wrench in my blogging time. I have to say, I just can't spend the time here that I'm accustomed to. Organizing and unpacking takes all my time and energy. A health condition has also reared it's ugly head and I'm afraid I'm moving at a snail's pace because of physical limitations. It's as if someone or something is sucking all my energy dry. I hate this feeling.
I do hope you feel better soon. I know how horrible it is when you don't feel as well as you'd like to.
I'm trying to make 365 daily posts, but may cut back to less often after that. But it sure is fun!
If this platter of grilled vegies and dip is any indication of your hospitality, I'd like to figure out how to become your new best friend. :-D
I understand what you mean about feeling the need to entertain. Once, when I published a weak post, only because I felt too much time had passed, someone left a note saying: "Please rest, we will wait here like children to hear of your wondrous tales." That was the last time I felt the pressure to publish hastily. Nuggets are good!
Hey, it's Wistful Writer from Twitter!
Boy do I know that feeling of pressure from having an audience. But I love your example of having someone over to your house.
Boomer Tales sounds interesting, I'm going to be looking forward to checking it out on my Kindle!
The bits and bytes of blogging are my favorite parts! :)
Can't wait!
