My daughter and I found a really cool sushi restaurant yesterday. They offer deals between 3 and 5, like 16 oz. of Sapporo beer for 99cents, and appetizers and sushi at reduced prices. I love salmon skin hand rolls. I ordered one, while waiting I sipped my incredible iced tea and munched on edamame. The decor was lively, the staff was attentive, and they played good music too. As if that wasn't wonderful enough, the sushi chef handed me a ten pound hand roll, (okay it wasn't quite THAT BIG), but it was BIG. And, absolutely delicious. So here's a pic I took with my phone, so you can admire his creation with your own eyes.
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

A lovely almost spring Sunday here. Have already done Jane Fonda plan to work in the garden, get kids ready to get back to boarding school. I have never tasted sushi but I'm curious.
That does look really good. Sushi is an amazing food. I cannot imagine that I never tasted it before coming to US. But it quickly went to the top in my charts. I also made it at home a few times and it turned out ok.
Your phone takes really good pictures, by the way.
Looks yummy and I know NOTHING about sushi.
Yummm! That looks so good! I love sushi-especially the Rainbow Rolls:). Congrats on the upcoming book publication-I look forward to reading it. I am still trying to find a publisher for my books (I have a couple) but I seem to be at a loss as to where to start. Hopefully someday soon I will be proofing mine for final publication too!
I also wanted to answer a question you left on my Walterboro post. I called the real estate agent about the run down house that is for sale but he has yet to return my call.
Blessings,
Kim
My kids and husband lurrrrve sushi, but me, not at all. Glad it made you happy, though. :)
I like salmon sushi also, and this looks awesome. My son would really like this, he is such a sushi fan.
Food! Reminds me, I was getting myself some about an hour a go, and stopped before I'd tasted any of it - now I'm starving and need to head back kitchenwards, I think.:)
Looks yummy. I always save a trip to the sushi bar for when i visit my daughter, too. Nice way to eat slowly and visit, I think.
You'd fit right in here in Waikiki!
Aloha, gal pal

YUMMY! And what a fun date with your daughter!
You should give them a little plug if they're so good! Where is it?
I spent the first 35 years of my life avoiding sushi, and I am still not sure of the madness behind that logic. Anyway once I caved in and tried it I was hooked. Good, good stuff, and that creation you snapped a photo of looks absolutely awesome. I am sure it was yummy too.
I don't think I've ever had sushi but my parents love it!
I love hand rolls too. We have this one place here called Wondersushi and it is an all you can eat place that is made to order. They have a ton of things on the menu - such a great deal. Hungry now!
