It's a Bling Bling Christmas

Pictured above: Our holiday mantle featuring freakishly thin snow people (the boy snow person is a bit metrosexual) ~ a cairn terrier (Toto dog) ~ornaments on one of our trees (yay) ~ the mighty Skeena (I lived near this river long ago) ~ and last, but cerainly not least, chocolate, it is Christmas after all.
One of these days I'll figure out how to add pics into the body of the post, until then bear with me, please.

Think Julie Andrews. Listed are a few of my favorite things, in no particular order:

~Shiny Christmas tree ornaments, (love, love, love em, I swear I must be part raccoon)
~Susan Boyle's rendition of Wild Horses
~Unusual throw pillows
~Bryce Canyon at sunset (well, anytime of day, but sunset's truly magical)
~The movie Babe, Pig in the City
~Children's belly laughs
~PF Chang's gluten-free lemon chicken
~Paris, France
~Camping
~My Mac (faithful accomplice)
~Cairn terriers
~Deja-vu
~Champagne
~Mountain lakes surrounded by evergreens
~Elegant hotel rooms
~California wild poppies
~The Skeena River in British Columbia, Canada
~Chocolate (you suspected as much, didn't you?)

I'm taking a brief hiatus for the holidays. Look for me around the 27th, give or take, depending on how things go. I want to wish every single one of you a Very Merry Christmas, and if Christmas isn't your holiday, then Happy Holidays! I will miss you all, Bloggy Buddies!

Merry Christmas to you too, dearest Elizabeth!!! Your holidays look as though they will be absolutely gorgeous, and something out of a storybook!!! Just what I would expect from you!!! You are such a talented lady...Will miss you!! And look forward to your return!!! Wish I could buzz out, and grab a little of your sunshine...it's snowing again...the drifts are 4 ft already, and the snow continues to fall...beautiful from inside though...and that's where I plan to stay for now...curled up in front of the fire with ...yes, a cup of hot CHOCOLATE...Love you list!!! Love you~Janine XO

I hope you're talking about Deja Vu the feeling and not the strip club.

I just had dinner so if you could pass a couple of those delicious chocolates my way, that'd be perfect!

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Enjoy this beautiful holiday week.

Either that tree is really small or those ornaments are huge! Have a wonderful holiday.

Such beautiful things. As for the boy snow person.. a "bit" metrosexual? LOL. That's the understatement of the millennium.

I love your favorite things, Elizabeth. Especially the champagne! Yay for Christmas champagne.

oh I love those thin snow folks! And really, their sex life is none of our business. What they get up to when you turn the Christmas lights off will be there little secret. Probably eat the bonbons. Have a very choclatey Christmas my friend. I'll talk to you anon.
love, Jan, who has seen the Skeena herself and knows the longing thereof.

Love your decorations!
Since I am a severe technoidiot I am very proud that I do know how to put photos in the text but in the way I figured out which may not be the correct way.
1. Put all of your photos in
2. Write everything that you want to write.
3. Switch to HTML in those buttons at the top of the blog thingy , to the right
4. Now you can cut bits out and paste them between the photos. You can also cut out the photo if you can figure out which bit of crazy html writing is for which photo

Hope this works OK,Elizabeth, sometimes you end up with big spaces you can't get rid of but not often.
Hope you understand my directions.

Have a lovely Christmas!

When someone says (in real life) I am not going to be available for awhile, I get nervous. I already miss you, but I understand.

I love many of the things you have mentioned, but not all. I love terriers in general. I had a Yorkie for 13 years and she was so sweet.

Merry Christmas, Elizabeth!

And a very merry Christmas to you and yours as well Elizabeth! A break sounds like just the thing to recharge your batteries :-) We'll be in your neck of the country next week, spending the holidays with family in SoCal! Can't wait for less snow & warmer temps lol. Thought I was the only one who loved deja vu, that's the best!

Metrosexual snowman, love it!

Is that really your tree. I love all the ornaments. Don't think I've ever seen a tree with so many.
