The Outer Limits

Hey there! I've been out of loop. MIA. And all I can say is, I've been way out there, in the outer limits. The periphery so to speak. Go ahead, tell me you haven't been there, but I won't believe you.

But, here I am, back! Good or bad, this blog is like a garden, I may not weed it all the time, I may not plant new seeds (or bulbs), and I may not water as much as I should, but doesn't that make it less of a garden. I think not!

It is winter, so cut me some slack. Spring's on it's way and I know the garden will benefit. All I can say is, I'm glad you're with me now, it means so much. And I plan to drop by and visit you soon. The truth be known, the outer limits are kinda scary, and lonely.

FOR ALL OF YOU TOO YOUNG TO REMEMBER, THE OUTER LIMITS WAS A TV PROGRAM WHEN I WAS A KID, WHICH EXPLORED THE UNKNOWN, THE MYSTERIOUS, AND THE CREEPY FRIGHTENING REALMS OUR PARENTS DIDN'T WANT US TO KNOW ABOUT. BELOW IS THE OPENING OF THE SHOW...

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits.

Your absemce was noticed! Let me put on my best schoolmistress frown, lol.

While I adored the Twilight Zone, and loved the opening that you quoted from TOL, I never liked the actual show very much. But then they brought it back in the 90s, and sci-fi channel shows the reruns. Those, I love!

I'm glad you're returning 'cuz I missed you!

Meanwhile I'm still floating and crashing in the outer limits of my life and hoping to return soon too!

The Outer Limits show always gave me food for thought and scared me too! I sometimes use it's ideas to help me write a far out short story.

Glad you're back. I understand though - some days it feels like my entire life is lived in the Outer Limits :)

Ah yes, The Outer Limits, The Twighlight Zone - I'm a child of the fifties and I remember that voice. I lived in Ottawa in those days and there was a running ad for a car company that was Beyond the Fringe! In Stittsville! Ha ha!
Glad you're circling the planet and look forward to hearing about what you've brought back from OUT THERE...

OL came on just before my bed time. Yep, I had to have the light on to get into bed, then covered my head. Great old show. Wonder if it could be creditably done now?

Best Wishes Galen.

I'm positively ancient, so I remember the Outer Limits very well. Loved it. Right along with Twilight Zone.

You're forgiven for being a wee MIA. Winter is supposed to be about hibernating, right?

Good to see you back though. I miss you when you're not here.

Also wanted you to know I linked back to you yesterday - the Happy101. I had to change it just a tad. I knew you wouldn't mind. We can all use more happy thoughts, eh?

Hope you're having a good week. Thank you again for the award. ♥

Just a wee bit before my time but I can still appreciate it. I love the garden analogy...I think about posts I want to write all the time but don't manage to sit down and write them.

Definitely been there before. I think winter is always a little rough. Definitely looking forward to warmer weather. I never watched The Outer Limits but I am old enough to know the show. Hope all is well and glad you are back with us. Take care.

I love the Outer Limits (and the Twilight Zone)! Of course, I generally feel like my mind is in the outer limits and that I reside in the twilight zone:)!

Blessings (as I blog during lunch at work because of the computer mess at home-lol),
