A Job Well Done!

Our yard project is almost finished, we still have some plants to add and whatnot, but the sod's in. I'm happy and the dogs are ecstatic, they couldn't wait to pee and poo all over the lovely new lawn.

The bad part is, our nineteen year old son, (he's been our laborer), will be returning to our other house tonight, and we're going to miss him. The fridge and pantry will return to be stocked with food that doesn't disappear, and he won't be making us any exotic ice cream. While he was here we went to see Where The Wild Things Are, (his name is Max), and he claimed the movie did not ruin the book or suck at all. We took him for all you can eat sushi, and I had to cut him off. At six foot two, with two very long hollow legs, he can eat and eat and eat the establishment right out of house and home. We also took him over to Wahoo's fish tacos, but he still prefers Chipotle's over-sized burritos.

The Husband and I will be staying home tomorrow, even though my niece is throwing a big Halloween bash. With four dogs and a neighborhood of ghouls and goblins roaming door to door we don't have any choice. We'll hang out on the porch and hand out candy. We'll each carve a pumpkin. (I'm a big kid, gotta have a jack-0-lantern burning. And I'll have to make due with the pictures my kids will take Saturday night at the party. Hope you all have a safe spooky Halloween.

the new yard looks great.

I'm going to carve a jack-o-lantern for the first time in several years. Up until a few years ago I did one every year without fail. the year I was on a river trip, I did two out of the cantalopes we had brought.

I love the new yard. looks great. LOL about your son eating... That is what I worry about when my two boys become teenagers. I think we will be eaten out of house and home! My six year old can already out eat me!

Your yard is looking great and I especially like the metal fence.

I know what it is to have two boys who at 14 were over 6 foot tall and ate everything in sight non stop! It was amazing how much we saved on food when they moved out to their own places. Of course they managed to arrive at mealtime on occasion!

The yard looks so relaxing, and I love that stone walkway. Did you install that yourself? Enjoy your weekend!

The yard looks fabulous! My husband is doing work in our back yard. It's a huge project and taking forever, but it's going to be so pretty when he finishes. I hope it looks as good as yours.

Your yard is wonderful. Looks like you might have had a little help? Maybe a hedgehog. They are hard workers you know.

How pretty, Elizabeth! And again, may I say how impressed I am by your son. I think he earned his good eats. The sod looks marvy.

We are watching the Florida/Georgia game then taking our kids out to their favorite Japanese steakhouse for dinner. In costume! We are escaping the trick or treaters this year... too many 17 year olds in plain clothes with pillow cases and bad attitudes. Besides... it's so much more fun to be out and about in the spooky night.

Have a fun one!

Beautiful yard. And how much sushi can your son eat? I love sushi. I can eat a lot too. My daughter is also starting to get into it and she's only three but she can eat quite a lot too when she's in some growth spurt.
